Is my 7 month old sleeping enough?!

Hi, I looked up typical sleep schedules of a 7 month old and they say 14 hours in 24 hours, with 3 hours total sleep for naps and the rest for night time. Tho my 7 month old sleeps 1/2 hours in the day and 13 hours at night! (Not straight through, she stirs and grazes all evening, but goes right back to sleep. I lay next to her in bed so she can just help herself lol) I just wondered does this sound like enough nap time hours?

Thanks in advance

Sounds fine to me Smile
All babies are different

My 7 mo second dd does this too - I reckon second babies have so much more going on she just can't settle for long stretches in the day yet. She's the queen of the cat nap. I'd say if she's not grumpy she's getting enough sleep

Thank you! Was worrying! Yes she has my 4 year old as constant entertainment! Bless her!

My ds2 is 7 months old and he only sleeps in 30 min bursts during the day too!

She sleeps only for half an hour in the daytime? I'd say this would mean too long awake I one stretch.

Or she sleeps for several short half hour naps through the daytime?

1/2 hours .... 1 to 2 hours

First nap in the morning 30 mins to an hour and the afternoon the same

So she's getting about the right amount total in 24 hours, and you don't have a grumpy baby. All good.

With 13 hours sleep at night, for 7 months old that seems alright to me.

Assuming baby isn't showing tired or over-tired signs, I wouldn't be worrying. It is within the scope of 14 hours in 24 hours.

Just watch for how much actual sleep happens at night. Because if bedtime is 7pm and wake up is 8am (for example), with feeds in between, that does not mean that baby has 13 hours sleep.

She never wakes fully, she stirs and feeds for maybe 5 minutes. It's more a comfort thing, I'm just a human dummy lol
