13mo doesn't like sleeping away from home

Hello, my 13mo is a good sleeper in her own bed. However, if we go away for the weekend or on holiday she doesn't settle well in the new bed. Takes a long, upset time to go for her nap or to sleep at night and will wake a few times. Any ideas how to ease/help this? I bring her bedding from home- sleeping bag and sheet so it smells like home..

Our 3.5 yo did this (and still does, she's never been a great sleeper mind you). Only thing that worked/works for us is if she can see us when she's going to sleep/wakes up in the night.

This has involved cots/beds at similar heights to our bed and without arms to block line of sight (ie sofa bed) and sometimes reading a kindle next to her until she goes to sleep. (We were not pushovers when it came to sleep training but new places were a whole other ball game). Good luck!
