So, this is my problem. She's never been a great sleeper. Tried pretty much everything. All general sleep training, pick up put down, gradual retreat. Bit of crying. Gradually transpired that, if she got to the point where she was crying, she would then wake up every 45 mins through the night. So eventually got her sleeping all night/ waking up once. Did that by sleeping next to her for a week and then putting a hand on her every time she stirred. So that was good til I was about 6 month pregnant with the second one. Her dad took over the night times and since then she started regularly being awake between 2 and 4 am. Just messing about. It's coincided with potty training, new sibling and now in the not needing a nap transition.

So , she sleeps in her own room, in a proper bed since she was nine months. We generally sit next to her while she falls asleep, but she went through a very short phase of us being able to leave her to it. She has a very normal routine milk, bath, 1 or 2 stories, lights out , sleep. We put her on the potty for a wee about 9.30 she rarely wakes . And then she can be up a couple of times before 2 after that and then can sometimes be up for 2 hours. Half asleep saying daddy or mummy repeatedly even if we are right next to her. We can usually manage to keep her in her room the first couple of wakings. Either by sitting next to her or lying next to her. But if all else fails she's in a bed on our floor but we can still get 2 hours of mummymummymummydaddydaddydaddy she maybe has 2 good nights a month, where she won't wake or will just be up once. But then will wake up at 5.30. There seems no rhyme nor reason to it.
It was manageable until the second one came along, he's fed every 2 hours since he was born , day and night, just started weaning, had a couple of nights of 6 hour stints and then the teeth kicked in.
Anyone have any ideas?
