hello all,
Just wondering if anyone can help.
My baby is now 7months old and sleeps ok she still gets up through the night for her dummy a couple of times but the problem is that I can't sleep at all.
I will end up falling asleep one night at 8 out of pure exhaustion and wake up at 11 or 12 and that me up tossing and turning the rest of the night.
Has anyone else been through this?
Any help would be soooo appreciated, it's really getting to me now!

Hi jade, this sounds like me. I have 2dc and really struggle to sleep. I usually go to sleep really late, exhausted, but still can't drop straight off. It's usually at least 1am but often nearer 2. I then often wake every hour or so until 6/7 and then I can't sleep again. It's miserable and I'm always tired. I have great empathy for you but unfortunately no advice. Just wanted to let you know you're not alone.

I have had similar issues-apparently mindfulness techniques really helped. It basically cured my sister's severe insomnia..it's just a matter of finding the time to do it. I was also prescribed zopiclone by the gp, which I take occasionally-it's amazing. Also if babies wake in the night, I can still attend to them

Sorry-I should say that if you do take any tablets, you don't know how you'll react to them, so make sure you have someone else on hand who could attend to the kids just in case (sorry if that's obvious!)

Thanks so much for your messages! It does help to know that others are going through it. I have been to the doctors but they wouldnt prescribe me any sleeping tablets :( hoping it passes for us all soon x
