Answer me this.... Sleep

My 9 week old slept for 6 hours tonight at my friend's house, in her car seat, in a room full of loud people, with a 15 min car journey there and back. She barely stirred.

Yet at night, in her crib, she sleeps for 2 or 3 hours and wakes up thrashing and crying with wind. Every night.

She is clearly able to sleep for longer but just doesn't. How can I get her to sleep for longer periods without a room full of noise?!

Some people use white noise apps or CDs to help their babies sleep.

My Mum's advice to me was just to keep the activity in the house, and noise levels, normal so baby didn't get used to it being super quiet and you could go about doing your bits and bobs.

Could it have been the more upright position? Have you tried propping up the top end of her crib?
