Sleep, what's that?

DD is now 15'ish weeks old and hasn't been sleeping through for about 6 weeks. I had a few glorious weeks when she was little and slept for 8or 9 hours in the night, but now she wakes up at 4am every morning. I wake up now at about 3am anticipating being woken later and don't go back to sleep. Although the days are not yet rolling into one big snowball of exhaustion I'm having a pretty horrible time. How can I break this cycle? I have tried giving dd a bottle but she won't have it. She spits it out as though it tastes like the most revolting thing. My boobs feel quite empty but dd seems to be putting on weight. I think she's still a bit too young to start on baby rice. I am not a happy bunny. Any suggestions, please?

Does she have a dreamfeed at 10/11ish to get her thru' the night?
What's her bedtime?
How much naptime does she have?
Do you go in to her immediately or wait to see if she'll settle?

It's obviously not hunger and she won't need weaning unless she's waking hungry. Our dd is enormous and we didn't wean till nearly 6 months.

If you post some more about her routine, then it might give some pointers on what you could do.
Best wishes

She likes to stay up with us for quite a long time, as she will eat at about 6, then between 7 & 8. I feed her before I go to bed at about 10, but sometimes she wants to be fed after that. I don't have much of a routine with her during the day - she eats when she's hungry. I can't remember what we did with dd1. She slept through from about 6 weeks and that was that! Perhaps a better routine might work? It does seem to be a regular thing, this 4am waking. I need to do something about it for my sanity!

I don't know but guess the reason your dd slept through previously was that being younger she needed more sleep. Now, if she's taking the same amount she did in the day, she won't need it at night. Also, she may not be learning to differentiate night from day because she doesn't have one big long sleep.
I'll give you a brief idea of what we do, but obviously that suits us and may not work in your case.
DD has a bed time of 7pm and we get her up at 7 am. She wakes between 6.30 and 7. We woke her for a dream feed at 10 and phased it out by 6 months. In the day, she sleeps for about 2 and a half hours, usually for 40 mons at 9.30 and then a long sleep at 12.30. She has solids for tea at 5ish and a nice big milk feed just before bed at 7. When she was 15 weeks, she'd have had 6oz at 3pm and between 6 and 9oz aither at 7pm or a split feed, so she wouldn't be grumpy during her bath. We also doa bath routine every night not because she needs it, but because it's part of her wind down routine, so she relaxes for bed.
Hope this helps
Best wishes
