Sleeping 8pm until 2am is a very good stretch of sleep for an 8 week old.

Perhaps re-setting your expectations to something more realistic would be worthwhile?

I assume you are feeding when he wakes?

Have you tried a dummy?

At 8 weeks most babies are feeding every 2-3 hours so as the PP has said maybe re-setting your expectations would be worthwhile.

Sounds like hes doing fab only waking up that much really. Keep doing what your doing hes only tiny at 8 weeks it dosent last long enough. I know not much help but everybody deserves abit of reasurance xx

Im no expert but id say leave him. As he grows and starts to take more than his routine will change. But if hes happy then id leave him a few more weeks x

At 8 weeks I wouldn't worry about a bed time - can you keep him down with you until you go to bed?

jazmine89 · 11/03/2015 08:11

Yes well me and my partner are early birds anyway we are in bed by nine ourselves so at the moment he goes up after his feed 8... i suppose they cant really have a bedtime until they are on a proper diet can they?
