My baby boy is 24 weeks old and ebf , he has been on solids for 4 days.

From day 1 he has never slept more than 1-2 hours

It's literally killing me

So far tonight he slept 1 hour 32 mins

Then 45 mins, 1 hour 18 mins, 40 mins

Currently awake again now feeding

I have to fresh in every time he wakes if you don't he starts screaming place down

As you can imagine 6 months of not getting more than 1 hour sleep is killing me and as he BF only I can deal with him

He refuses bottles and dummies

I have that app and I had no idea that was a feature - I'm definitely going to try that! Mine is similar, tho he sometimes sleeps for 3 or 4 hours in his first stretch from 7 but of course I'm still awake at that point so don't benefit. We cosleep and he leaves his face about a cm from a boob and just latches on when he pleases which has made a huge difference to my sleep as I barely wake up now. I turn us both over every couple of hours. I know I should do more to get him sleeping in cot but just can't find the inclination.

It's worth saying that mine also has silent reflux and cows milk allergy, which although medicated for still bothers him. There's no way I'm doing any kind of sleep training until I'm 100% sure he's not uncomfortable.

Hi can't stay away overnight, he don't take bottles also Id worry like crazy, our house is big enough I could sleep in a spare room and not hear baby but I'm not convinced Id sleep well, I think I'd worry to much, baby has never hardly been away from me

The app is called sound sleepr

Hubby is off when at home , 3.5 week home then 4.5 weeks offshore

He comes home exhausted though after a month straight of 16hour shifts offshore so the first 3-4 days he gets home he sleeps lots. I have no choice but to manage when he away and I have to do cleaning etc or my house would end up messy.

No Id not hire a cleaner I prefer to do things myself

I've tried the co sleeping so baby can just feed himself but he a monkey and pokes and stratches me with his little fingers so I always get woke up. Last two night he slept in his cot next to bed. And although the he woke many times I only had to touch him 3 times the app on phone put him back to sleep so that's a improvement

After speaking to hubby when he gets home in mid to end of April we going to try him in his own room

As if the White noise works to get him back to sleep hopefully I will only need to go check him a few times in the night so means I should get more sleep .

Fingers crossed

I’d love to know what happened with this, I’m 6 months in and in exactly the same boat, could be written by me 😭
How did you get through it? Did anything work?
