1yo sitting up at night

Hello my dd had been STTN since 10mo (touch everything that is wood!)...the last few nights we have been woken by the apnoea alarm (not my daughter) and find her asleep (but woken by the alarm) sat up, slumped forward with her head in her lap (apnoea alarm went off because she had moved off the pad rather than stopped breathing). If the alarm hadn't have gone off I wonder if she wouldn't have woken.
Is it ok for her to sleep like this? Should I turn the alarm off and let her sleep? Or any tips to get her to stay on her back?
Thanks!

I don't think you can make her stay on her back, she will stop doing it eventually. I would just turn off the alarm and let her get on with it, she will cry if she is uncomfortable or something is bothering her.
