DS is 15 weeks, 17 adjusted as he was 2 wks overdue - and its always shown as he hits milestones early.
Two and a half weeks ago his nighttime sleep went to Hell, waking every hour etc. After two weeks exactly it stopped and now he's suddenly back to normal at night (6.30-6.30 with two or three feeds). I decided that it was the growth spurt/early 4 month sleep regression.
His daytime naps during that time were unaffected - awake 1.5/2 hrs, nap for 45 mins and wake up refreshed.
But the last few days he wants to nap constantly. He'll wake up after 30 mins exactly and all the tricks in the world can't get another sleep cycle going (unless he's on me). So he wakes fully up and in a BAD MOOD. 15 mins later he's crying and we need to rock him into another nap.
Today he's slept most of the day off and on.
Feed at 8.15
Nap from 8.30-9, then by 9.15 whinging again.
Napped on me from 9.15 - 10.45.
Feed at 11.30
Nap from 12.30 - 1. Woke up, had a meltdown, 20 mins rocking, then
Nap from 2-2.30
He was whinging and I assumed it was for his 2.30 feed but No! Screamed blue murder when I tried to feed him, just wanted to nap.
So now he's napping on me again!
This is typical of the last three days. Basically he's now demanding to nap so much he's dropping feeds in favour of naps.
Is this developmental? I don't know how to tackle it - even when he sleeps on me for an hour and a half like today it apparently makes no difference!
