What do I do next?

So, trying to get my 6 month terrible sleeper to sleep better! He currently feeds to sleep throughout the night and for most naps unless he is in the buggy/car.
Last night we changed the routine so that I fed him first then my DH did the rest of bedtime and rocked him to sleep, it only took about 20 mins. So we will continue with this to try and get him used to not feeding to sleep. I need to work on feeds during the night as I gave in and fed him a couple of times but he did go back to sleep without feeding when I persevered.
But, what do I do about naps? I find it so hard not to feed him, he is so tired but he won't self settle if I put him in his cot, he just gets more and more angry! Any ideas wise mumsnetters?

If you are planning on breastfeeding long term, then feeding to sleep does not necessarily have to be a problem. As long as you are happy to continue.

You could try Shush Pat? Basically you just sit with hysterically screaming baby as they go to sleep. Don't pick baby up or disturb them in the cot. Just keep on making shush sounds and patting gently for reassurance until they eventually go to sleep.

I'd just feed but then I'm lazy! Is the concern about others getting him to nap?
