Baby wriggles down moses basket

Hi, any suggestions gratefully recieved - my 8 week old baby is put to sleep in her moses basket next to me, swaddled & with a light blanket. I put her in feet-to-foot but she wriggles down and this morning when i woke up she was bum-to-foot with the blanket over her face! Its too chilly to put her to bed without a blanket, should i tuck it in really tightly or is that worse?!

Have you consider a sleeping bag?

I uses a lightweight baby sleeping bag. It attached over the baby's shoulders so wherever she wriggled her cover went to. Also stopped the worry of the cover going over her face.

What a wriggly monster!

I agree with sleeping bag but also you could try wrapping the blanket round her so its more secure.

I agree with the sleeping bag - love them. I used gro-bags which have newborn underarm poppers that you can use when they are still quite small but at 8 weeks I'm guessing most (all?) brands should fit (although check the minimum weight you can use them from).

Our moses basket was on a rocking stand and I used to find my dd having rocked herself onto a slant, sometimes with her legs up in the air and bum-to-foot, but at least with a sleeping bag the covers wouldn't be over her face.
