Help!!!!

Little one is 8 months old and has slept through since early age, about 2 weeks ago wasn't well so started waking in the night for feed, now is on antibiotics and also teething but is waking around same time every night for feed, how can I stop this

So my LO had a similar(ish) problem when she caught a cold. And we then had a month of her not sleeping by which point I was tired enough to do something about it. She was younger but I guess the same logic holds...

First make sure your LO doesn't need the feed - sure it's not them getting over being ill? (this is why we left it so long). Are they taking a decent amount (in which case maybe they need it) or just comfort feeding? I'm no doctor so don't know if they need more food whilst still being on antibiotics but it would seem logical.

Then, once we were sure she wasn't taking much and it was just for comfort, we started dropping the feed later every night. In our case DD was waking an hour after going down and wanting a comfort feed so I cut that one out and resettled her when she woke. Then she was waking at 2am and every 2 hours afterwards. I snuck this 2am feed later and later every night - so wouldn't feed her until 2:30, then 3, then 3:30, etc. Eventually she got the idea and just started going through. But it did take over a week of no sleep to crack it.

She drains a 7oz bottle in middle of the night, she never used to wake so I'm unsure what's going on, I've given her supper tonight and I might try a dream feed to see if it helps
