Daytime sleeping

My 6 month old gets to sleep by being cuddled with her muslin. At night we can then just lay her in her cot and run away quickly and she stays asleep. During the day is a different story. No matter what I do, she wakes up immediately and screams. Personally, I love cuddling her and would happily sit on the sofa all day watching her beautiful face but with 2 other children under the age of 4 and the prospect of returning to work in 2 months time I need to crack this. She has blackout blinds and curtains so it's as dark as I can possibly get it in her room- what am I doing wrong??! Help! My other two never did this, so I'm at a loss!

If she likes the closeness of being cuddled to sleep, then what about trying a swaddle or tightly tucked in blanket in her cot, to give the same tightly secure feeling.

Do you rock when you cuddle? Or just hold her in a cradle hold? It could be the movement that is a sleep trigger, rather than or as well as the holding.
