How to make the cot more welcoming

Hi, we've just transitioned out DD into the cot from her Moses basket. She's 6 months old. She's had the Moses basket in the cot for a few weeks and had finally started sleeping really well but now she hates going down for naps or the night. She loved the cosiness of the Moses basket so I think the big space around her unsettles her. I was going to order an air wrap for the cot. Any other ideas how I can help her to adjust?

I'd love to as she had the sleepyhead deluxe as a newborn and it was brilliant! However it's too expensive I'm afraid.

Put a few of her soft toys in, and a snuggly blanket.

But mostly it's a case of getting her used to it. Put her in it for her daytime naps when she's nearly asleep and make sure she's cuddled up cosily with blanket and a toy or comforter. She might fuss at first but she'll adapt.

And if she wakes up in a happy mood then leave her in the cot to play for a bit. That will help her see it as a nice place.

We've just moved our 6 month old into her cot and all of this has worked for us.

Are you using a grobag? If not, that might help as they are a bit restrictive so might help her feel tucked up.

Yes she has a grobag to sleep in. Thanks I'll try those other suggestions too. She used to bury her face into the side of the Moses basket and snuggle right in bless.

You could roll up towels or blankets (cover with sheet) and make a kind of nest for her? A doctor did this for our baby in hospital and she liked it so we have done the same in our Moses basket. She seems to like it but is only little.
