my dd is 13 weeks and weighs 15 lbs. currently feeds at 6 30pm, sleeps 7ish to 10ish and 11ish to 7amish. i know this is pretty good, but i am looking to extend this eventually. do we just feed slightly earlier every evening at the10pm feed and see what happens? she is bf only, although with bottles of expressed as well. any advice from people who have had a similar routine would be appreciated.

Mine is 14 weeks and we're doing pretty much the same. I think until they are taking much less at that 10/11pm feed you're not likely to be successful but you could of course just try it and see what happens. The other thing is that you could change it so that you leave them til they wake naturally in the night so you may end up feeding at 2/3am instead of the 10/11pm or of course you may be lucky and they sleep through !! I've not been brave enough to try yet. To my mind, though if it was then 2/3am this is a lot more antisocial so I'm sticking with the timed late night feed until weaned...!! .(when you can apparently just drop that feed naturally). May feel brave though soon and have a go myself !

We didn't drop the 10pm ish feed until DS was weaned, seemed safest not to, particularly as, like yours, he was sleeping pretty well.
