When did you introduce a pillow?

DD is 18mo and is full of a chesty cold. I've found that she's more comfortable propped up a bit on a pillow for naps during this virus so I thought I would buy her a junior pillow for her to try at tonight.
Is she too young for this? She's a tummy sleeper and I'm watching her do her usual cot acrobatics on the monitor. She's currently lying on her tummy with her head sideways on the pillow. Should I just forget about trying the pillow in case she suffocates?! Worried sick now!

I introduced a pillow around 18mo. She slept much better after that so I wish I'd done it earlier!
