Cot to bed nightmare

Help please. My DC 2 has always been a v bad sleeper. Entirely nocturnal for first three months, then graduated to hourly wakes with a twice weekly 1-5am session but things got better when she started walking and until just before Xmas she was sleeping through. She would take forever to go to sleep though- 9pm average even with physical exercise to exhaust me. We considered dropping nap but didn't seem to make much difference.

Then she started climbing out of cot and one point fell badly. She escapes from all manner of suits and skee

Urgh iPhone. Anyway she fell from cot, gets out of suits/ sleep bags etc so we needed to put her in bed. We can eventually get her to sleep, takes forever and no nap helped this weekend but the nights. She just wanders around hourly. If we shut the door she screams the place down waking every (and possibly the street up). Co sleeping works for her and not for us. Any ideas? This has been going on since Xmas and 7 to 8 wakings a night is killing me

Dumb question but do you know why she's waking? How old is she? Can she tell you what she wants when she wakes? How do you get her back to sleep?

She's nearly two. No idea why she is waking. We've now cut her nap which has made a bit of difference. Xxx
