To take cot bars off or not

DD is 2,4months. She is day potty trained however she has taken to removing her nappy at night or 1st thing in the morning. When she does it at night, I'm usually able to sneak one on after she has fallen asleep.
Anyway, I'm now considering taking the bars off of her cotbed.
Will she wake and use the potty? Am I just going to make life awful for me?
WWYD?

I would say treat both as separate decisions.

We moved ds from cot to bed around the same age as he started trying to climb the bars so it wasn't safe anymore. We put a stair gate across his bed room door so he couldn't roam at night.

ds also potty trained around the same age and (luckily for us) he had the bladder of the camel and had dry nappies most mornings, as long as we got him to the loo quickly on waking in the morning he only had a few accidents. He would not have went to the loo/potty himself for several months after that. If your dd taking the nappy off because she has used it and it is uncomfortable maybe wait a little longer before thinking of going nappy free at night.
