cut a hole in a mit?

My DS always has cold hands and feet, its usually the first sign hes getting abit cold. Can you put an extra blanket on and see if that helps?

She sleeps in a sleeping bag and kicks off any blankets... could try a thumb-less mit though!

As far as I understand it, as long as the baby is otherwise well and her body is warm, it's OK if their extremities (hands and feet) are cooler. Babies aren't as efficient at dealing with temperatures as adults are, so their hands are often much cooler than their bodies.

You don't need to put her in mittens, just make sure that her head and body are warm enough.

Hi mamamoomin - heard the same thing that babies hands and feet can generally be cold, but its not necessarily a sign that bodies are cold. If you are worried she's getting cold why not try a higher tog grobag?
