Please tell me someone else has experienced this and it passes?!
My lo is 6 months, and goes to sleep in her crib with a dummy. But it takes her ages to go off, and when she wakes in the night she can't settle because she puts her hands on her chest and then as she drifts off to sleep they slide down and jolt her awake.
I watch her on the monitor do this dozens of times until she wakes up properly and cries.
She does this for over an hour. It's heartbreaking to watch her try so hard to sleep and fail. She's 6 months so I can't swaddle her, any intervention, holding her arms etc just disturbs her and even if I let her go to sleep on me she wakes when I put her down (why she had to learn to go in the crib in the first place) and we're back to square one.
There's nothing I can do, I just need to know this will pass, because it is claw your face off frustrating at 3 am, and I end up in tears of frustration every night because she's struggling and so tired. (And so am I!)
