Baby sleep

My little boy is 4 weeks old and for the last few days he's been fighting sleep during the day but then sleeping for a long time overnight. He doesn't nap much during the day, maybe 2 hours but then sleeps for 6 hours and last night he did 9pm-5.30am! Is this normal and is it ok?

He feeds often through the day, every 2-3 hours and is gaining weight nicely, has regular bowel movements and plenty of wet nappies.

I should be happy he's sleeping lots overnight but just a bit concerned if I should be waking him to feed as midwives/HV said not to let him go more than 4 hours without food.

Mine is exactly the same and is still at 12 weeks, She is fine and "thriving" so as long as they continue to grow, can't see a problem! All my health visitors have said it's fine not to wake her.
