7 mo dd settled herself in tummy in corner of cot right up against bars (her head pushing against them) and in her sleep while shifting around keeps banging head. So I tried moving her coz I really thought it was dangerous and of course she wakes up :(
She cries loads and won't resettle away from cot sides. Don't know what to do? Should I have left her in first place? But isn't it dangerous if the top of her head (including fontanelle area) is pressing firm against cot bars? Help!

I wouldn't worry too much, if it was painful she would stop I'm sure. I remember ds went through a phase of this a bit older than yours and I put thick bumper pads around the cot but he grew out of it soon enough.

You can buy a cot wrap that is made from breathable material so it's completely safe but provides a bit of padding. I got mine from a company called Safe Dreams (search on google). Not expensive - maybe worth a try?
