Anyone ever hear of hiring a baby sleep consultant to help baby to sleep. I'm at my wits end. Considering this. What do you think violet-sleepbabysleep.blogspot.com/2012/01/baby-sleep-consultant.html

There are loads of sleep consultants out there - if you search on Mumsnet you'll find tons of recommendations. We used Millpond for our DS a few years back when he was a terrible terrible sleeper at nine months. They were brilliant and I'd highly recommend them. Good luck!

this one has testimonials from mum's with very similar situations to mine. Do you think it's worth it? I've never heard of sleep consulting ...

The one you've posted link to appears to be an American one though ...? It looks fine though I'd research UK ones. It's a massive thing now, sleep consulting, and certainly worth it though I think it's for people at their wits end! (Though sounds like you are).

Yes it's an American one but I have researched and many UK mums used this one. There are at least 3 or 4 stories just like mine on the website and some from the UK. Yes I'm at my wits end:) Thank you so much for your advice.

We used Sian at www.sleepbabies.co.uk because we are at the end of our tether. Worked for us; it is gentle, she doesn't do controlled crying but she warned us that there would be some crying but I would be there throughout. Sleeps from 7-6.30 ish now; Good Luck!

I used Andrea Grace. Website of the same name. She helped me a number of times for minimal cost after the initial bill.

It was investment very well made for me after 9months of not having abs evening or night uninterrupted for more than 20mins.

I used Cheshire baby whisperer. Wasn't a miracle cure BUT we did get much better at self settling and got dd down to one wake up a night (from previous 3-5). We still have early starts though (5:30 onwards). That said from where we were huge improvement, not cry it out or cc as we didn't want that.
Can't say I regret the £30 we paid. We got the book, DVD, website links plus email support for two months. She also had numerous calls with me as well to give extra support.
Dd was 16 months when we started. 19 months now.
