My daughter, 26 months, used to have sleeping issues but after using controlled crying has been sleeping through for the last 6months. Until about 3 weeks ago when she has started waking in the night and waking very early and refused to resetle and has just got very angry. A few nights ago she mastered climbing out of her cot and would just climb out when put in to resettle so we have converted her cot bed into a toddler bed. Now I am having to sit next to her bed to get her to settle. Problem is when she wakes at night she wants to fall asleep in my arms which I don't want to start. When I tried rapid return she had full on tantrum and could not get her to lie down. And she would would then immediately throw herself out of the bed. Is this normal with rapid return? Tried gate on doorway and she can climb that!! Any tips or advice?
