just looking to c if anyone has any advice my 12 month old sleeps from between 6.30/7.00pm to 10.00/11.00 sometimes near 12 he has been my alarm clock so when he wakes i wake but ive had to start setting an alarm to get up as i thought this is way to much sleep, recently took him to the doctors and they have refered him to see a consultant should i be worried? he eats perfectly fine and he's a good big solid boy, ive also stopped him from having a nap but he is getting grumpy from about 5 and is hard to keep him up pat 6.45

A 12mo would normally still be having two naps a day so probably still the same quantity of sleep, just more broken up
(7-7 night time then maybe two 1.5hr naps daytime).

Could you start by waking him at a set time every morning (eg 10am), then maybe do an hours nap at about half one? then after a week wake him at half nine and pull the nap forward slightly? etc.

ive been waking him at 9.30 but he would happily sleep on, the doctor freaked me out abit when they said that it was way to much sleep and wanted to refer him to a consultant and also send him to get bloods taking which im not happy having that done unless im sure theres something wrong and its just not that he loves his sleep he is also a very active baby hes been walking sine 10 months old he is also quite big for his age i would say he looks like a 2 yr old and has all his teeth so could this just be that he is exhasuted from all this
