is controlled crying right for us?

Hi all,

I have a 16 month old and 17 week old. Baby sleeps a solid 13 hours and has done since four weeks.

Toddler however has never slept through and its not improving. I return to work full time soon!

She goes to bed fine, awake and settles herself off at 7pm. We have good solid bedtime routine. She will wake first around 10/11 then roughly every 2 hours after that. I had been bringing her into our bed in early hours but have stopped that for 2 weeks now. She has an ounce of milk from bottle each time she wakes then falls asleep. I don't engage with her just sit on a chair next to her cot then sneak out.

But I am exhausted and need her to sleep?

Would controlled crying help?

Thanks in advance

Have you ruled our teething/molars/allergies?

Since when has this type of awakening been happening?

Is there any way you can switch to water and then leave a water beaker/bottle there that she can help herself to?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Really she has always done this, she didn't have as much milk when in our bed but she woke just as much.

I will try her with just water tonight. I am wanting to stop her having bottles anyway.
