Getting one year old to sleep without bottle

Rod and back...
Dd goes to sleep while having her night time bottle. All is fine normally. She can wake up at 10 pm and drinks between 100-200.
We were dropping the dream feed but she wakes up between 1-3 and has a bottle. She finishes it so she is thirsty. We resummed the dreamfeed.
She woke at 4 tonight and has been unsettled at night for the past month.
Hv said to stop feeding her to sleep. Any experiences?
She was 7 weeks early so not really 1 if that makes sense.

We started by trying to take the milk away when ds was drowsy but not asleep, then moved to giving the milk before bath time. We also stopped milk in the night at the same time, and replaced with water. He started off drinking quite a lot of water at night but this has reduced significantly. Did this when he was about 9mo. It was easier than I feared but I think DS was ready for it. It did take a while to get him to sleep sometimes, and we used to hold him/give him a dummy/rock him for up to 30m. Over about 3 months months this has gradually stopped also and we can put him down and leave.
