Sleepyhead Pods

I only discovered these the other day and now I'm really thinking about getting one. They're just so expensive though!

Does anyone have one?

Are they worth the money?

How do you use a sensor monitor with them? (The kind that detects movements/breathing).

TIA x

I have a Sleepyhead and it works for us. Bought it when DS1 was 3 days old after a couple of restless nights in his co-sleeper. We went from him waking every hour to sleeping for 3/4 hour blocks which he still does at 5 wks (though closer to 5 hour blocks now). It fits well in our Chicco Next to Me crib and I'm guessing we'll move it to the cot when he gets to that stage.

I haven't bought any replacement sheets though as they're so expensive. I just drape a large muslin over it which does the trick.

Can't comment on the sensor as we don't use one.

Yes, I'd noticed the spare covers were a ridiculous price too. I really love the sound of them. My DC hasn't been born yet (4 days overdue). I think I will wait to see how he/she sleeps in the moses basket and if after a few days I'm not having much luck, I'll definitely get one.

My DH refused to buy one before he was born as it was so expensive but after 2 nights of both of us being up every hour, he relented and went to John Lewis! He will happily say it's the best £99 he's ever spent!

Sorry to jump on your post but have you looked into a poddle pod? It's practically the same thing but only £30! We were using 1 for our ds until 5mo and have taken it away as he can now move and crawls out of it! But he slept so well in it and hated his moses basket! Might be a cheaper alternative and handy if u travel or stay with relatives!
