3.5 tog sleeping bags

We have started using 3.5 tog sleeping bags but I am worried - it's 18 degrees in his room so we were using 2.5 togs according to the guidelines, but he was waking up cold in the morning.

Does anyone else use them? Should I stop worrying?

What else does he wear?

And how old is he? The older they are the easier it is for them to regulate their own temperatures. Ds is 18m, generally wears pj's and a 2.5 tog gro bag, it's currently 21 degrees in his room, so again more than recommended, but the temp will drop overnight. When it gets colder I add a long sleeve vest under the pj's - our house has draughty single glazing and no insulation to speak of (early 20th century).

He wears a long sleeved t shirt with poppers under his nappy (sure there's a better name for them but can't think of it!) He's 10 months old.

That sounds like a vest.

At the moment DD1 (24 months) is in a short sleeved vest and a babygrow with a 1.0 tog bag. We are getting the 2.5 tog bags out of the loft at the weekend.
