Sleeping bags

Can anyone tell me if there is any difference in the sleeping bags that zip up the front compared with the ones that zip round the edges? Is one style better than the other? I'm thinking if baby sleeps on tummy they'd want one that zipped around the edges otherwise it might be uncomfortable?

I didn't find any difference, my partner prefers the zip round edge rather than in middle but both easy to use IMO. X

I've used them with daughter who's now 2 and a half and the only difference I've found is she can easily unzip the front zip ones but not the edge ones. We had a front zip one and I used to find the bag on the floor and a cold toddler!!! Otherwise, no difference

Allypally I have opposite with ds. I always chose side zip ones when ds was younger as I thought the looked nicer then from about a year he managed to get himself out of them by forcing the shoulder poppers and had to urgently buy front zippers as bedtime became impossible.

Edge zipped ones are a lot easier to dry when washing as they generally open right out :) important when you've got a puker!

I like the zip down the middle ones. The round the side ones have poppers at the shoulders and my 11mo ds just escapes them when doing his usual pre sleep jumping up and down in the cot!!

I always get the ones that zip up at the edges ... because i feel i can get her easier into the sleeping bag at night plus i also make sure they have little push buttons at the top so i can just slide her out in the morning lol

Thanks very much guys. Will prob go for the side zip ones as knowing her she will undo the front ones (hadn't thought if that before!!)
