Potted history: DS has never been a great sleeper but before we moved he was at least getting through the night on his own and not needing to come in to us, and was also good at settling down when it was bedtime. I moved out here for work and he spent a month sharing a bed with his Dad while our furniture was sent ahead. Came here and since then every night we have agony over getting him into bed and keeping him there is impossible. Every night one of us ends up in with him in desparation.

So I can see where we went wrong... but how do I sort this out? (by the way his stuff is still in transit which doesn't help). Do I just have to endure some really really tough nights tp break the habit?

Yawnfully yours, Meowmix

How old is he?

How long will his stuff be in transit? I'd be tempted to elave anything until that's all arrived so there's not another upheaval when it turns up but yes, I'd imagine you're in for some tough nights to break the babit.
