6 month old waking up screaming

My little girl has been waking up in the middle of the night screaming for the past two weeks. She's 6 months old and this episode has coincided with her moving onto solids. Halfway through the period she also moved into her own room. When I go into see her she often doesn't seem awake but is really very worked up. Giving her a cuddle seems to settle her but the second she's back down in her cot she goes crazy again. Last night's episode lasted about 2.5 hours with me eventually leaving her to cry it out after checking the usual(teeth, wind, nappy etc). She's obviously tired during the night and also in the morning, not sure what best to do next?

I am currently having the same problem!! I try to leave her to self soothe but this only seems to make her more worked up!! So much so that she won't even settle when I pick her up... I was wondering if it's a nightmare? Don't know of this is too young for that tho?

The only way I can settle her is by taking her out of her room where it's a bit more light, let her see me then sing/rock her, even feeding doesn't help.

Only other thing I can think of is teething pains? Although she already has 6 so doubt there are more coming yet.

Hope somebody can help?!

I'm sorry you're having the same problem, my LO might be teething tho none appeared yet tho even calpol, Ashton and parsons etc doesn't seem to have an effect. I thought about the night terrors too but not sure if it's too early either. Any ideas anyone?

Are you feeding something at the same time every day? Just wondering whether it could be trapped wind or constipation?
