please help!!! 6 month refuses to be put in cot

My 6 month old dd slept through the night from about 3 months with a dream feed and would also nap in her cot no problems.

For the last month everything has changed! As soon as I put her down awake in the cot she screams hysterically. I've tried leaving her for short intervals, patting, stroking, shhhshing but these all make her worse if anything.

It's worse in the daytime for naps, on a fee occasions she has self soothed at bed time (rarely). She used to go down awake at all sleep times, would play with toys and then nod off.

She is currently cutting tooth number 6 but there have been no problems with the previous 5. She has also learnt to sit and stand up and seems to do this constantly when awake in the cot.

When I've left her she gets into such a state and ends up crying so hard she vomits and becomes totally inconsolable.

She has been waking a lot more in the night but this has improved a little this week. She wakes at 430-5 for the day and it's exhausting me!!

If I feed her to sleep or rock her she is down in minutes and stays down for at least an hours nap so I've taken to doing this. DH is adamant we need to sleep train her and let her cry it out but he is at work all day and I can't explain how hideous and painful it is to watch her getting into these states. It literally happens as soon as I put her into her cot if she is awake.

Please can people share their experiences and tell me if I'm making matters worse by feeding and rocking to sleep?

Thanks!
