Dropping the third nap at 7 months??

Hello wise people,

My DD (seven months) has three naps a day, two in her cot at nine and one lasting roughly 1 and 1.5 hrs respectively, and one afternoon catnap in a sling around 4:30 PM. I really want to wean her off having this last nap in the sling, because it's breaking my back carrying her around and I need to do errands at this time. I've tried to put her in the pram for a walk at that time but she gets more and more hysterical until I crack and put the sling on!

I've read that some babies are ready to drop their afternoon nap at this age, which would be ideal, but until she's obviously ready for that any ideas on persuading her to take that catnap in a pram instead? Or do I engineer her to miss the nap and bring bedtime forward (she's down at 7pm at the moment)?

She's always needed a lot of sleep. And she's a demon if her naps aren't at the same time every day. Flexible baby she ain't.

Could you try the pram for a few days in a row, might get her used to it? Ds dropped the third nap at that stage. Had about a month of an overtired shouty baby at bedtime. Sometimes he used to have a short nap in the car if I felt he was getting too tired

Thanks - it might be the end of the line for the afternoon kip. I think bedtime will have to be brought forward a little bit, I don't want to go back to the 545am waking though...
