My DS is 19months, until 3 months ago he was a nightmare sleeper - wouldn't go down at bedtime, woke every 2 hours then up at 5 every morning. I'm a single parent and have a 3 YO aswell so was at my wits end and asked for advice from HV who went a support worker to help me find a sleep plan. I decided to do CC but didn't need to because something unexpected happened, I left him to cry for 5 minutes then he slept all night for 12 hours straight!!!
Obviously this is wonderful but now he's gone the other way, he's asleep by 7 and doesn't wake up until 9 the next morning, sometimes I need to wake him. He's recently started walking (has a mild forefoot problem that needed sorting with orthopaedic shoes) and since then his appetite and temperament has improved dramatically so this is probably linked with the sleep?
I can't get in touch with HV but I'm wondering do I worry about all this sleep or just enjoy it whilst it lasts? He's literally fast asleep for sometimes 14.5 hours, I know I should be singing from the rooftops but I can't help but panic after such a huge change in habits.

Thanks, and sorry if I've pissed anybody off with my child who will sleep - believe me I deserve it after 3 years of no sleep!!

Didn't think anyone would respond but it's not a boast, it's a genuine question. Best call the HV again.
