Is it possible to just cover a sleepyhead with a mattress protector and sheet?

Am trying to avoid forking out £40 for the custom covers.

Assuming you mean this

Then no I don´t think so, but it wouldn´t be too difficult to make a few.

On a slight aside, I've just bought one which I think is very good but do your babies roll onto their side in it? My baby is 6 months and I think if she did roll onto her side it might help her wind over night, but not sure if she doesn't because of her age rather than the sleepyhead itself?

I just drape a muslin over it - a giant one covers the whole bed or a smaller one the top half to protect against milk dribble. I'm sure my crib sheets would cover it too, the cost of the Sleepyhead sheets is ridiculous.
