My dd is 4.5 months old and for the last week she has decided she will not settle to sleep without a fight. I will put her down fast asleep about 8.30 and within 20-30 minutes she will be wide awake rolling and thrashing about. Then it can take us anything turn 2 and half hours to get her to sleep in that time we've tried leaving her to cry, feeding, cuddling and just patting her. But she cannot stay asleep. I've just started her on baby rice and thought that she might be uncomfortable sleeping on very full belly but changing feeding times hasn't made a difference. What do I do? Do I just persevere and it'll pass?

Google 4 month sleep regression. It'll pass.

Did you give her baby rice thinking she was waking from hunger? I would go back to milk only tbh.

The cause is the 4 month sleep regression. I found it hard with both of mine but it passes.

Can you take turns to settle her?

Early weaning won't help I'm afraid - there's more calories in milk than baby rice and fruit purée.

Be kind, hold her, feed her, persevere. It's stop soon enough. These regressions are tough.
