DS (3.4y) permanently knackered

My ds is permanently knackered. No matter what, he wakes up at 6am-ish every single day. He dropped napping reliably a year ago and the only way he will nap now is in the car or once in a blue moon he will fall asleep on the sofa. I can't let him nap after 2pm though.

Any naps he has, he takes off his night time sleep so the amount he has in 24hours will not change, but he is tired when he wakes, perks up after breakfast and then is shattered from 11am/12pm onwards. It makes for long miserable days for all of us.

He goes to bed at 6.30pm-ish and normally fall asleep between 7-7:30pm. More recently we have had shouting and generally messing about from him until 8pm, or on really bad night 8.30pm.

How can I get him to sleep more? He desperately needs it! I would accept that he is a 6am riser if he woke up happy and refreshed, not whingy, argumentative and grumpy. Wise words and wisdom needed Smile
