Hello,

My 7 months old son has been a terrible sleeper since he was 4 months old, but now it is getting worse and worse. Last night he woke up every hour crying. I am so tired..
I have a 3 year old and never did he do that, I dont get it!

We are living at my mother in law at the moment as we are waiting for our house to be built so he has to be in our room and there is nowhere else I can put him really. I know its not ideal and having us beside him might not help, but every hour... Cant just be teeth, can it? Only a bottle soothes him but then if I feed him all the time he will be hungry at night all the time.

Please help! Has anyone had that?

Any ideas of how to stop this? He has a great routine, diner, bath, story cuddles, bed at 830. Any advice would be really appreciated !

Thank you xx

I'm not sure whether it is the same for bottles, but my dd reguarly went through phases of hourly feeds overnight, usually from growth spurts, teeth and whenever she was full of cold etc.. I always fed her to sleep working on the theory that if she was hungry she would only keep waking again.
She started 'sleeping through' around 9 months and has been a great sleeper ever since.

I think they all have different needs, but I would say that if he is wanting feeding at night then let him have a feed.

Even on a good night at that age dd would have a second feed at 11.30pm and occasionally a 3am one as well. She dropped them naturally over time without hassle.
