Could you please share your 5 month old's routine, sleep and feeding if possible? Would be lovely to see what others with similar age babies are doing.

Thanks

My DS is 5 months and so happy to share!

He has bath at 7 ish, then feed (I'm still breastfeeding) and then into his cot. He usually settles no problems and is asleep until morning - which can be between 5 and 7 for him.

If he wakes at 5 ish we feed and then I put him back in his cot, but any much later then he feeds and I let him doze in our bed. He usually then wakes again when the rest of the house get up about 7.

As he sleeps all night, we often have a breakfast top-up between 8 and 10 depending on when the day has started and then a feed at lunchtime. He hardly naps at all in the morning - maybe up to 30 mins if we're out in the buggy or car. Then, by lunch he's quite knackered and will have his longest sleep after lunch - time depends on early feeds a bit, but approx 1 ish for an hour or so. Sometimes this is at home but other times it's in the buggy. At the mo he's very restless because of the heat so doesn't settle well in the day. He then has a feed at 2 ish and 5 ish and sometimes a pre-bath power nap depending on earlier sleeps.

In total he has 5 or 6 feeds in 24hrs and I'm fairly relaxed about when as he is sleeping so well at night (and has done for a couple of months now).

This is DS2 and I'm much less worried about sticking to any hard and fast routine as I've got to manage DS1 and his plans and over the course of the day he gets what he needs I think!

Thanks for sharing. Really interesting to hear what other little one's are doing at this age.

Marmite, my dc is similar to yours. Sleeps well at night e.g approx 7.30pm until 5.30-6.30 then a feed and usually back down Til 8ish. She doesn't nap too much in the day, usually 1 40 min nap at about 9.30am, 40-90mins at about 12/12.30 then about 29 mins at 5pm, but I guess that's because she sleeps well at night.

She has either 4 7oz bottles or 5 6ish oz bottles per day between wake up time e.g 5.30-6.30am and bedtime bottle about 7pm.
