My son has always been a sleep refuser - needing to be walked and bounced for hours as a baby. He was eventually diagnosed with CMPI and it got a little better but not entirely.

He is 4 now and still won't go to sleep without lots of input (hours of stories etc) or sleep in her own room.

I have tried putting him to bed and walking away but he gets hysterical and manic, following me around the house and screaming at the top of his voice. The same happens if I ignore her and keep putting him back to bed.

I have tried lying down next to her and ignoring him but he gets violent and punches or kicks me or tries to push me out of bed.

He is almost certainly aspie because of other behaviours he has. There's a lot of general anxiety which manifests as silly behaviour.

Any ideas?
