Help with Amby hammock please!

My sister has a very reflux-ey baby. Based on comments I saw on this website I advised her to get the Amby hammock, which she did. Unfortunately she says that as soon as the baby is in it he starts to practically choke up with reflux. She feels like the baby is lying too flat in the hammock. Is she doing something wrong? Is there a different way to set it up which will get the baby more upright so he doesn't have so much of a problem with reflux?

Thanks for any help - she's getting desperate.

i'd try to make sure that the baby's feet are down at the bottom end of the hammock, that used to work when dd was wee as it tipped the hammock upwards. other than that, email the inventor ambrose hooi, his is the contact address on the australian website, he might have some ideas.

Thanks, I'll tell her to give that a try.

lotussister, you can adjust the hammock so that the back is alot higher. You can do this by pulling the gathered material at the top until the right postion has been found for the baby.

thanks, she's trying to figure it out. She's having a lot of trouble finding a position he can sleep in!
