Hello ! I have just started following Baby Whisperer on week old baby but after getting him settled using ssh pat. I find he is on his side and doesn't like being turned onto back. He naturally settles on his side.
This means that DH and myself have to keep checking he's still breathing every ten minutes! Are we just being paranoid?

I always had both my ds' on their sides. I hated them being on their backs. I even rolled up a towel and put it behind ds1s back to make sure he didn't roll onto back as he didn't turn his head when sick, so used to choke on what he'd just brought up.

Hi, ds would also just go on his side, we made sure to put rolled up towels either side of him so that he can't roll over, and changed his sides when he had a feed. Make sure that the towel in front goes from his tummy down to his knees and at the back all the way up to his neck. He was absolutely fine and at around 3-4 months he started going on his back on his own.

You can slightly flatten the towels to wedge it underneath him!
