6 month old bedtime tantrum!!

Can a 6 month old have a tantrum?!

He's been co sleeping but we're trying to break that now. Sometimes he'll sleep in his cot, sometimes not. Last night was 2 hours of crying/laughing in his cot along with a few cuddles in between, before I fed him to sleep in our bed. I then moved him into his own bed where he stayed for a few hours before ending up back in our bed.

Tonight, (abroad so I'm an hour ahead of you lot!), we read stories and then I gave him his feed. 5 minutes in he started crying and from then on he refused to cuddle me! I have him a chance but then put him in his cot. He played with his soft toy for 5 minutes then screamed. So I went up. He wasn't happy to see me either. I tried feeding which normally solves everything but not this time! I then decided to read him a book. That worked fantastically. But he screamed again afterwards. His pappa came in to see the noise and he laughed at him and they had a cuddle. DP ran him a bath whilst DS was left with me (screaming!), now they are happy playing in the bath together!!

Is my baby angry at me? I feel like he is hitting the terrible twos 18 months early! Have I traumatised him from yesterday's 2 hour battle? This is very unlike him...

I don't think he is ill... No temperature and he is happy now with his pappa.

Does anyone have suggestions for this stubborn little boy? This is normally a baby who only wants boob before bed, tonight it's books!
