Ds is a happy and healthy 8 month old. He naps like a dream and eats well. He's not crawling but is trying, he has cut 2 teeth, so I don't think he's teething at the moment.
Up until 2 weeks or so ago he went to bed at 7 and happily settled himself to sleep by half past. It was paradise. But it's all changed and now we are still trying to get him to settle over an hour after he went to bed.
He displays all his sleepy signs, and we use the same routine. There is a blackout blind and fan in his room. He has just had a heavy cold but is fully recovered, I did try an earlier bed time for a couple of days then a later one no difference!!! He will happily lie in his cot babbling for a short while (exactly as he used too when he fell asleep no problem) but after 10 mins he starts to cry. I thought it was down to him being over tired and tried leaving him for a couple of mins to wind down, but the cry doesn't stop, it just escalates to a frenzy.
We are currently trying pupd but it doesn't work at all. Any suggestions as to why he's doing this? Or how we can help stop it? He's also getting up at 5 but that's not as much of an issue, however prior to this funny spell he'd happily sleep til 7 am. Tia for any suggestions!
