My 8 mo baby girl slept beautifully from the beginning, just waking every so often for (breast)feeds. She is a big baby on 91st centile and we dropped night feeds last month when she was waking more than needed, which worked fine. Then she got poorly so had 2 nights in bed with me barely sleeping with a fever. Since then she will only sleep a decent stretch in with me. The last 3 nights I've been strong willed and refused to bring her in with me, and moved her cot so she is right next to me in bed. She settles to sleep in my arms or with me patting her within minutes but then suddenly wakes up again around 15 times a night. Not feeling great right now... I gave her calpol which didn't help so I don't think she is in discomfort if teething (no other signs of that), she eats well etc so I think it's just she feels lonely in the cot. She often startles awake when her arms relax. Is there any sort of bolster you can get for this age? I'm aware she wriggles around now so I don't want to risk putting things in the cot. I would try moving her to her own room but we don't have a spare, and I don't want her to wake up my little boy whose room she will share eventually. Any inspired ideas or fresh eyes welcome :-)
