DD has been really great at self-settling until now, we usually just put her in bed, sometimes she has a little token protest cry, but overall she just falls asleep quickly and sleeps through.

In the past few days, she's been increasing difficult to put to sleep - when I first put her in her cot she's happy and smiley, but she doesn't actually fall asleep, and ends up screaming her little lungs out. As soon as I pick her up, she gets quiet and sleepy, and as soon as I put her down, she's screaming again. This went on for hours last night, I eventually had to breastfeed her to sleep, which I hadn't done since she was very tiny :-/

I read that around this age, babies start getting anxious about being left by their parents, does it sound like what's going on here? Or something else?

Thank you for any input!!
