Now, I know all too well that my DS2 is going through the 4 month sleep regression having experienced it with DS1 (until he was over 2). Hence why I am keen to knock it on the head ASAP.

Now DS2 is a very different child . He refused to BF during the day from about 10 weeks, but will at night, although I'm worried that my supply is dwindling as he won't feed from me during the day. Naps in the day seem it have fallen into a vague pattern, but he literally grumbles all day. Not sure whether he's hungry, tired or just plain grumpy. His naps are roughly 7.30-8am, 9.30-10am, 11-12.30pm, 1.45-2.15pm and 3.45-4.15pm. He can't seem to cope with less as then the grumbling changes to full on screaming.

He is ready for bedtime routine by 5.45pm and always asleep by 6.30pm. At bedtime he will only fall asleep with a dummy. He will sleep until roughly 9.30/10pm but he will not resettle easily, and is then up every hour and a half until 5.30/6am when he's up for the day. I am nearly broken as then my DS1, who is nearly 3, is awake and recharged for the day.

Any ideas on what I can do to try and at least encourage some longer stretches at night? He doesn't seem to be that fussed by his bottle at any time of day, his weight is no issue though, he is tracking the 75th percentile.

TIA!

Perhaps work on trying to get him to feed more during the day, if you can. Is he too distractible maybe? DD was like this and so I had to feed her lying down in a darkened room. At that age she fed 1st thing, before and after each nap, perhaps an extra feed around tea time, bedtime and then a dream feed. So about 8 or 9 times in total.
