6 week old doesn't sleep

Help! My 6 week old is awake all day and night. He simply won't settle- ever. He literally just naps for 5 mins. I really think there is something wrong with him like he's hyperactive or something. I have a toddler too and I can't go on like this, so tired and depressed. If I leave him to cry he will just cry for hours- still crying after 2 1/2 and I couldn't leave him to go longer. Feel like I'm in a living hell.

Have you been to see your health visitor?

This isn't normal at all and sounds like it is causing you both a lot of stress.

What have you tried in the way of naps? Does he fall asleep feeding? I always used to feed mine to sleep and then carry them in a sling so I could deal with the toddler.

Could it be reflux or silent reflux? What is he feeding like and how often?
